Led by our Social Ministry and Evangelism & Outreach Ministry teams, the congregation of First Lutheran Church actively participates in studying societal issues within our world and addressing and supporting the needs of our local and global communities, including the broader missions of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA).
This outreach includes serving the spiritual, nutritional, and physical needs of people in our community and around the world. It also addresses root causes for inequities and injustices within our world and works toward healing.
Members of all ages are encourage and guided to regularly support our mission of Sharing Christ’s Love – whenever and wherever we are needed.
If you are an organization and/or an individual looking for funds to help people in need locally or globally, please complete and submit either the Mission Endowment or the Social Ministry application for funds.

The Christian mission of the Geneseo-Atkinson Food Pantry is to provide food, clothing, and short-term emergency assistance for families and individuals in need. Check out their website for current needs. Non-perishable donations may be left in the basket by the church office.
