There are many ways to get involved at First Lutheran Church and this page is a great place to start.
Ministries: We offer ministries for adults, youth children and families, in addition to music and spirituality & wellness.
Volunteer Opportunities: Volunteering is a great way to get involved. We have volunteer needs throughout the year. Some are weekly, some are monthly and others are one-time opportunities to serve.
Elementary students join us after school each Wednesday during the school year to learn about God’s love, the Bible, and their faith. Volunteer opportunities range from 30 minutes to 2 hours each Wednesday, or you may sign up to be a substitute and we will call on you as needed. Join the team! Email Abbey Cathelyn.
Note: All volunteers who work with Faithtime Kids are subject to a background check.
Do you like to bake? Or can you pick up a few dozen donuts or muffins from the store and make a pot of coffee? We welcome you to team up with a friend and provide weekend fellowship. Sunday morning Fellowship follows 9:30 a.m. Worship. Interested? Email Linda Bloomberg.
Ushers act as our “hosts” for worship. Duties include lighting the candles, ringing the church bell, welcoming worshipers, handing out bulletins, dismissing for communion, and cleaning up the worship space following the service. Ushers generally serve one Sunday per month. Join the team! Email Melinda Wildermuth.
Volunteer to help the Director of Worship & Music, Melinda Wildermuth, and our Livestream Technician, Larry Lord, with projections during Sunday morning worship and special services. Interested? Email Melinda Wildermuth.
Altar flowers can be donated in honor or memory of a loved one, special occasion, or simply for the glory of God. The cost of two arrangements is $50. If you would like to purchase altar flowers, email Linda Bloomberg.
