Confirmation is an exciting opportunity for youth to continue to understand the Bible and their Lutheran faith, to experience God’s love, and to connect with their friends in Christ in meaningful ways. It’s a two-year program for students 7th grade and older where they explore their faith, ask questions, grow in their knowledge of scripture and the church and build relationships. During the school year, students meet with Pastor Laura and Abbey on Wednesday evenings from 5:45-7:00 p.m. for lessons about the Bible or Small Catechism.
Confirmation students are required to participate in Worship to fulfill confirmation requirements. They can Acolyte, Usher and help with Altar Guild. View our Sign Ups page for current opportunities or to see what you’ve already signed up for.
There are several opportunities within the church and community for confirmation students to earn their service hours. View volunteer opportunities currently available at First Lutheran.
